A glimpse of last weeks photoshoot with travel company Flash Pack. An afternoon session of me preparing ingredients and cooking my heartwarming Vietnamese Chicken Pho 🍲 On cooler days like today, I could devour several bowls of this internal hugging dish. Head over to the Flash Pack website for info and tickets to our Vietnamese Supper Club in July

My Grandmother will turn 99yrs old this week. I found this photo of her taken in 1940s Hanoi. A beautiful and amazing woman who has taught me many kitchen skills and the delights of Hanoian flavours. I particularly remember early mornings as a child watching her make delicious Banh Cuon (steamed savoury rolled pancakes) which require great patience and a meticulous hand. She would spend hours creating this dish and myself and my sister @lola_lely would devour it in minutes. To my amazing grandma – Thank you for teaching me the art of love and patience in our little family kitchen.

Greg’s incredible Chà Cá Hanoi – Grilled monk fish with vermicelli noodles, salad and spicy dipping sauce. We ate this famous Hanoian dish on our recent trip to Vietnam, and I was REALLY happy to be eating this again in my kitchen last night 😋😋😋

I end my culinary Vietnam trip in Hanoi, capital and birth place of the infamous Pho, which is as Vietnamese as you get.

Today, Mrs Lan took us to Chau Long market where we bought ingredients for our cooking lesson. I had a wonderful insightful afternoon learning to make the following:

– Beef Pho

– Bun thit nuong

– Crab & pork spring rolls

– Green papaya salad
